Fitilli naylon, yelken bezini andıran belirgin dikey dokusuyla tanınır. Yüksek mukavemetli naylon iplikler sıkı dokunduğu için kayış hafif kalırken yırtılmaya ve aşınmaya karşı yüksek direnç gösterir.
Su itici yapısı sayesinde yaz aylarında, denizde ve spor sırasında rahatlıkla kullanılabilir; ıslandığında hızla kurur. Mat dokusu, çelik kasalı spor saatlerle özellikle uyumludur.
