Description
Habana is a beautiful vegetable-tanned leather from the Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany, Italy.
Tanned using traditional methods and natural tree bark extracts, it has the depth, warmth and subtle aroma that only true vegetable tanning can produce. There are no shortcuts here — just time, pressure and experience.
The colour is a rich, inviting brown with plenty of movement through the hide. It’s warm without being loud, and pairs effortlessly with both vintage and modern watches.
Like all great vegetable-tanned leathers, Habana develops character the more it’s worn. With time and exposure to light, the surface will deepen, smooth slightly and take on a natural sheen. Each strap becomes uniquely yours.
In hand, it has a reassuring structure while remaining supple and comfortable on the wrist. Durable enough for daily wear, but with the organic feel you expect from a traditionally tanned Italian leather.
This is honest, heritage leather — made properly, and built to age beautifully.
Because of this traditional hand-finishing process, natural variation is to be expected. Each hide displays unique tonal shifts, with some areas showing deeper staining and character than others, making every strap truly individual
