About Goatskin (Chevre)
Goatskin is known for its naturally pebbled grain. Its fibres are denser and more randomly interlocked than cattle hide, which makes it surprisingly strong for its thickness.
Natural lanolin gives it water resistance and stops it hardening with age — it softens while keeping its shape. Because it can be cut thin, it sits elegantly under dress watches and slim cases.
